What is a doula?

The Greek word doula means, “a woman who serves.”
A Doula is a trained and experienced labor companion who provides the woman and her birthing partner continuous emotional support, physical comfort, informational and avocational support during pregnancy, labor & delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

We recognize birth as a normal and natural life experience and are there to assist you in preparing for and carrying out your plan for birth, with education and informed decision making.
